CD 4: Tathagata’s Meditation About the Village Life

Life`s journey in the sense-bound instinctual world in search of love and beauty, and wealth and power, finally ends in the suffering and imprisonment in the hands of the power-loving heroes and tyrants. In this ”Village Life” treachery, lie, cruelty and frivolity fly as flies in the marketplace. Here the pleasure loving women and men live to fulfill the desires of freedom which is not guided by any other vision and judgement above what the instincts dictate. In this realm the reality is similar to the reality of  life of other biological species striving for dominance, possession and control.  The suffering experienced in this “Village Life” leads man to search a realm beyond the world of the senses in the realm of artists, musicians and poets.
